La Palma quickly became one of those places that feels both wild and peaceful at the same time. Known as “La Isla Bonita,” the island is a patchwork of volcanic landscapes, misty forests, and dramatic Atlantic cliffs. I spent my days wandering quiet villages, hiking along lava-streaked ridges, and watching the light change over the ocean from high mountain viewpoints. It’s an island of constant contrast—black volcanic rock against bright green pines, deep blue skies above the clouds, and sunsets that seem to linger forever and night sky’s stained with stars.
